Myra, she/her/hers, first engaged with IINSPIRE LSAMP at Des Moines Area Community College, completing four research projects funded by the program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University in 2018. After graduation, she served as STEM Director at the Boys & Girls Club in Omaha before joining Metropolitan Community College in 2022 as a Community Education Coordinator. She was later promoted to Manager and now serves as the Assistant Director of Student Financial Services. In addition to her professional work, Myra mentors with Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Nebraska and enjoys cultivating houseplants, reading, and spending quality time with her Jack Russell, Kepler Bean.
