Open Executive Board Positions

Chief Marketing Officer

  • Overall management of recruitment recent alums 

  • Manages outreach activities for current undergraduate students 

  • Help draft annual report for the LSAMP program directors highlighting the accomplishments of the Alumni Group 

  • Leads Outreach Committee

  • Develop activities to reach out to alumni and connect current alumni 

  • Works directly with NALA Exec Board to develop content for the website and Social Media

  • 1-hour Monthly meeting with Exec board

  • Establish the Committee’s online presence (webpage, social media, etc.) 

  • Average at least 1 post per week on social media platforms

  • Actively post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn for current events, member highlights, and announcements 

  • Active member in Executive board for decision making process

  • Manage monthly update email 

  • 1-hour Monthly meeting with Exec board

Chief Creative Officer

  • Manage website for organization.

  • Manages branding and creative vision for organization

  • Publicize volunteer opportunities, achievements, activities, executive and committee openings, and provide accurate information regarding upcoming Conferences.

  • Make LSAMP alliances and NALA connections highly visible.

  • Help draft annual report highlighting the accomplishments of the organization

  • Develop Monthly newsletters with executive leadership and distributes to members. Newsletter includes members' accomplishments and special honors, NALA highlights, and announcements. 

  • 1-hour Monthly meeting with Exec board

Chief Operating Officer

  • Manage emails for NALA(STEM) and communicate with right exec member to respond

  • Record and keep minutes of all event and leadership meetings and store in organization database

  • Main point of contact for NALA correspondence through email

  • Maintain all membership records and data

  • Keep accurate records of NALA hours and involvement working with entire exec board

  • Help draft annual report as needed highlighting the accomplishments of NALA

  • 1-hour Monthly meeting with Exec board

  • Keep accurate records of NALA hours and involvement working with entire exec board

  • Send thank you notes as needed

Mentor Pairing Coordinator(s)

  • Create & Lead matching process

  • First point of contact of status of matching

  • Initiates first contact between mentor & mentee

Mentorship Development Coordinator(s)

  • Identifies key areas for improvement

  • Leads recruitment of speakers for talks​

Mentor Relationship Coordinator(s)

  • First point of contact after matching is done

  • Makes sure mentorship pair has everything they need

Marketing Committee Members

Recruiting Coordinator(s)

  • Leads recruitment of new or potential alumni

  • May work closely with social media committee

Conference Coordinator(s)

  • Leads specific conference engagements

  • Pre-planning for panelist and speakers (virtual meeting or email description generation)

Workshop Coordinator(s)

  • Lead workshop engagements may work closely with conference coordinator(s)

Social Media Coordinator(s)

  • Create content on various social media outlets

  • Manage specific platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
